Bader Memorial Park

Bader Memorial Park is located in Chapman, Nebraska; from Central City go approx. 10 miles west-just before Chapman turn south on Bader Park Road for approximately 2 1/2 miles. The park features miles of hiking trails, and equestrian use is welcome (some trails are closed to horses). The swimming pond, with its large sand beach, volleyball net and picnic tables is a great place to spend the day!

Seven fishing ponds are available throughout the park, as well as 3/4 of a mile of Platt River frontage and the Wood River along the north boundary of the park. A variety of fish can be caught, including large mouth bass, channel cat, crappie and blue gill. Please note that game and parks fishing rules apply.

Free bird hikes guided by Bill Whitney of Prairie Plains Institute are offered year round, with free refreshments available after the hike. (See the website for scheduled hikes.) 

The park offers an Outdoor Classroom program, with free class field trips, which can accommodate literature, art, photography, science, biology and more.  WIFI is now available for a small fee!

Annual Pass: $25.00 per car
  $15.00 per extra car pass
Day use fee: $6.00 per car
RV Campsite: $20.00 per day
Tent Campsite: $10.00 per day
