  • CCPL has received a Gold Accreditation rating from the Nebraska Library Commission.

    • 5,359 libraries across the nation were evaluated for the "America's Star Libraries" report.  Out of these libraries, the Library Journal gave 85 libraries a 5-star rating, placing CCPL in the TOP 1.6% of libraries in the United States.

Along with books, magazines, audio books, DVDs and cake pans available for check out, the library also offers free Internet and wireless Internet access, along with computers and printing.  There is a microfilm reader/printer and genealogy resources available.
Interlibrary loan of materials is an option available for items not available in our collection. 
Nebraska OverDrive has an extensive collection of audiobooks and eBooks that are available for checkout, using your library patron number.

The library has a meeting room, multimedia projectors, Cricut Expression Cutter, laminator, scanner, and a fax machine available for public use.

For community outreach, the library offers preschool story times, craft sessions, storytime road trips,
after school read-a-longs, and a summer reading program.   
Humanities programs and educational classes are offered at various times throughout the year.

Lone Tree Readers Book Discussion Group meets monthly at CCPL (generally September-May).

A library card is issued free to all patrons who reside in Merrick County or own property in Merrick County.

Monday -Thursday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Friday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Saturday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Summer Library Hours
Monday-Friday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Saturday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
